Overview
Problem
How do you bring some nature into a space (which can boost mood, productivity, health, and well-being) located at the heart of a concrete jungle that is the downtown core of Toronto?
Outcome
With biophilic design principles, I can evoke the positive outcomes of nature (mood, productivity, health, and well-being) to create a connection to nature even within a concrete jungle.

Custom Modular FF&E Designs
I designed modular furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) with forms inspired by deciduous forests.
To the right are diagrams of the furniture pieces from the top view. There are various ways the modular furniture can be arranged: the first arrangement is for team meetings, the second for collaborative sessions, and the third for client presentations.

Feature Stairwell

Rendered stairwell with seating underneath and around the spiral stairs for the concept of sitting in the shade of a forest on a sunny afternoon with the tree branches above.

Office Workstations

Rendered office area where designers sit together in an open office space for collaboration. Natural light pours in from the window to the left. Small meeting rooms for private work and phone calls line the walls to the right.
