Final Installation
Ripples is the winning design of the 2019 competition to design a wall installation within the Toronto Metropolitan Library. The site of the proposed wall installation is along a busy pathway in the Toronto Metropolitan Library building. There is a constant flow of people, like an overrunning river. The concept of waves and the fluidity of water inspired this wall panel design. Geometric cutouts on the felt allow for clear acrylic rods to be woven through the piece. The two materials interact with light to create a ripple effect as one walks by. It is serene and integrates with the busy flow of traffic in this location.
