Hello 👋
I'm Amy Chen Hui Ling Li (Amy Li for short), a designer based in Toronto (and open to anywhere in the world).
I graduated with a Bachelor of Interior Design from the Toronto Metropolitan University, where I developed a sensitivity to designing for the human experience.
My interest soon expanded from designing for the physical to the digital. I completed a masters in UX Design at the University of Toronto to pursue this interest, with the goal of settling at the intersection of design, data and technology.
My Design Process 💡
Throughout my design process, I prioritize unearthing the needs and desires of the people I am designing for to create the best possible user experience. I value research, asking questions, and staying curious throughout the design process. My background in designing physical and digital spaces enables me to approach problems from different perspectives, resulting in innovative solutions.
Accessibility 🫶
Accessibility is my jam! As a former web accessibility auditor, I've got a knack for weaving universal design principles into the design process right from the get-go. I'm a cheerleader for a design that embraces everyone, and my keen eye is always on the lookout for WCAG 2.1 AA/AAA violations! Let's create a world where design is inclusive, fun, and approachable for all!

Fun Tidbits
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with cats, practicing kendo, a Japanese martial art I've achieved a black belt in and trying to climb things (physically and metaphorically). These hobbies reflect my adventurous and curious nature, which I bring into my work as a UX designer.
Overall, my passion for understanding the needs and experiences of users, combined with my diverse design background and curious nature, allow me to approach design problems from unique angles, resulting in innovative and effective solutions.
